Sommario
Wall-slab-wall structures, in precast configuration or not, feature no beams or columns but rather only slabs and walls and abound in many different European and non-European countries, regardless of the level and nature of seismic hazard to which the country is prone. In light of this, the results of an extensive experimental testing campaign involving dynamic shake-table and pseudo-static cyclic testing of full-scale precast and cast-in-place building prototypes, together with auxiliary connection/component and/or material characterisation testing, are described in this paper to provide an overview of both experimental methods applied as well as key behavioural aspects of such structures, typically built without any particular seismic design and/or detailing criteria. All test data are openly archived and available at the Experiments platform of the Built Environment Data initiative.
