A WEB PLATFORM FOR MANAGEMENT AND ANALYSIS OF EXISTING BRIDGES

This paper introduces a web application developed by the authors for the management and analysis of existing bridges. The platform allows the storage of data acquired during operations of census and visual inspections of bridges using the forms provided in the recent Italian Guidelines for the risk classification and management, safety assessment and monitoring of existing bridges and viaducts. The Seismic risk and Structural and Foundational Attention Classes are automatically determined. Some procedures are also implemented for the rapid estimate of the load bearing capacity of single elements (i.e. piers, beams), and for the interpretation of results obtained by in-situ technical tests. Details regarding the software, the methodologies implemented, and all the features are presented and discussed. Finally, the application of the online software is illustrated by means of data acquired on some bridges that are part of the highway network of Sicily (southern Italy).
