Sommario
The present paper provides an overview of recent developments in the study of the seismic behavior of SFRC columns.
The experimental program consists in several columns with or without the fiber addition tested under cyclic horizontal loading and constant axial force.
The spacing and the diameter of the stirrups were varied in order to verify their influence. The structural response of the columns has been enhanced by the presence of fibers which prevent the concrete cover to spall out at earlier stages and increase the resistance, the ductility and the energy dissipation of the columns.
